Dear candidate,
Thank you for your interest in the conversion program at Congregation Ohab Zedek - a two-year course + of study with classes led by our teachers Rabbi Adam Resnick and Joel Goldman, under the auspices of Senior Rabbi Allen Schwartz. Please note that Congregation Ohab Zedek is an 'Orthodox' religious synagogue.
The comprehensive curriculum covers a full range of topics, including Prayer, Philosophy, the Sabbath, Jewish Holidays, Kosher Laws, and the Bible - with supplemental coursework available in Hebrew reading and writing.
This course is approved by the RCA (Rabbinic Council of America) and the Beth Din of America - and successful completion of the course will prepare students for the final conversion process.
Effective January 1, 2024, the Tuition for this two- year course is $1,800. Please contact the office for an application packet, information to set up an initial interview with Rabbi Allen Schwartz and Rabbi Adam Resnick, and to make non-refundable $250 Application / Deposit fee (which will be included in the tuition total). Included with registration is a Siddur (Prayer Book) and a Chumash (Five Books of Torah) and other course materials - and our annual Chanukah & Sukkot Program Parties.
